Photography is a skill we all use daily. However, the mechanics of a photo are often little understood, even by semi-professional photographers. Photography is based on a combination of 3 elements (sensor sensitivity + shutter speed + aperture) and these are important to understand and simple to demonstrate.
Photography also paves the way for a more outdoor life, as animals, especially birds and insects, make great photography subjects. Many famous naturalists were avid photographers first.
Our aim is to have students understand what they are doing when taking a photograph and how to adjust settings manually instead of relying on the camera to take the photo. This will expand your creative ability and help you understand why photos weren’t turning out right!
It was a great tour! We were taken to some beautiful places in Cairns/The Tablelands to photograph. The guides were awesome, they took time to explain how to get the best shots and they were very helpful whenever I had any dramas with getting a good shot. Would 10/10 recommend!
Loved this day. Excellent guides and teachers (Rossy and Shane). Fun, affordable, easy going way to really pick up your camera and learn basic and advanced skills to keep you keen to keep taking lots of photos. Plenty of attention for everyone. I had a photography lesson and it was so so helpful, way better than anything else I would have tried. Rossy broke down the components of photography so well and made it so easy for me to understand as well as making it fun and enjoyable. The lessons really are value for money and he is a great teacher, very patient and understanding and always up for a laugh.
