What’s the difference between Isuzu & MAN Cape tours?
Mostly, just day 6. Check the itineraries for each.
The Isuzu truck can fit down the telegraph track and (road conditions permitting) visits a crossing to watch 4wd’ers tackle it. It then camps at Bramwell Station which has live music at night.
The MAN truck, cannot fit down the telegraph track, and instead does a mine tour in Weipa that morning, and then camps at Moreton Telegraph Station, set on the Wenlock River. A great spot for bird watching and easy walks.
“We have travelled to many parts of the world and done numerous tours. What Rossy has with Cockatours is something very special that we haven’t experienced anywhere else. Much more than just sightseeing. He is so knowledgeable across the whole spectrum and has such an easy going manner with people. This trip is great value and a unique experience that we would most highly recommend as the best way to see the Cape. There were so many things we saw and places we went due to Rossy’s intimate local knowledge, that other tours would have missed out on. Keep up the great work Rossy and all the best for the future.”

“Just finished Cape York trip and highly recommend to anyone thinking about doing this route. Linzi, our guide was amazing, probably one of the best I have had, and this comes from someone who has not only done a few tours, but is also a tour guide. Courtenay our chef on board whipped up fabulous meals over the campfire. The trip was varied, we lucked out with wildlife spotting, roads were much better than I expected and the group blended well. Rossy joined us on first night and last two nights. We learnt a lot from both guides. Very knowledgeable, personable and I believe the trip was made 10 times better for having seen this part of the country through their eyes and passion for the region. Highlights – Fruit Bat Falls, the Tip, Cassowary sighting and Lakefield National Park”
