If you are wanting to go on a tour that is not yet released, we have a waiting list which you can put your name on. When tour dates for that season are finalised, we contact people on the waiting list in the order they contacted us.

“Everything was organised and run like a well-oiled machine, while still feeling relaxed and enjoyable. The tents and bedding were extremely comfortable, and after a day of exploring it was wonderful to have such a comfortable place to rest.“

“I was a slightly reluctant starter with the camping but ending up learning and enjoying many new things. The group experience was fantastic! Many laughs lots of help and great memories! Cheryl and Rossy were marvellous and brought the Cape to life. Thanks for the extra encouragement and push to get me to the tip Rossy😁 if you are thinking about this trip just go and do it!!!“
Judy, 2026
“Our spirit of adventure was fulfilled by this Cape York experience. We were given the luxury of time to personally encounter the Australian bush: camping at unique locations, viewing native flora and fauna in the varied landscapes of this special part of Australia, sharing stories with like-minded fellow travellers.
Rossy and Cheryl delivered a 5-star experience throughout the tour. Rossy’s wide knowledge covering the ecology, history and environmental features of Cape York, together with great connections to the locals in the area, and his deep and respectful relations with First Nations people created a unique experience.
Highly recommend a visit to Cape York Peninsula with Cockatours.“

“WOW! Just WOW! I’ve just returned from Cockatours infamous Cape York tour. A single traveller with strict dietary requirements and love of our amazing country, I cannot recommend Rossy and the team highly enough.
Rossy is extremely learned and passionate in so many aspects of our culture, history, fauna, flora and tells the best yarns ever. Cheryl provides amazing tasty meals each day with the happiest demeanour. The campsites, waterfalls, laughter and sights are surreal.
Just do it … the adventures are real !!“
